Effects of Al-Si Coating on Static and Dynamic Strength of Spot-Welded Hot-Stamping Steel Joints

Al-Si is the most popular coating used to prevent oxidation on surfaces of hot-stamped steel sheets during heating process. However, like other coatings, it affects strength spot welds in joining parts. In this study, effects tensile resistance spot-welded joints are discussed. Two types 1.8 mm steel, uncoated and coated forms, were spot-welded, shear behavior welded was studied both static dynamic tests.
